@Marelisa - Just imagine those little parachutes coming down...crayons an all! What fun!!

@Jacqui - Hi Jacqui. Thank you so much for taking the time to write me about the anniversary post. That one was a special one, so know that I am deeply grateful for everything you are saying. When I think about it, there are definitely moments where love was a bit harder to find in some of the moments of our life together. And yet, through it all, what I've really come to believe is that love truly never fails. If we can find that spot of love, even in less than perfect times, our connection to this other soul is held in beautiful connection to our own. Jacqui, thank you, again, for your lovely words....they are touching to me.

@Peggy - This picture is so filled with vibrant life! And then the words of Robert Fulghum just make these colors come to life even more! Beauty bombs!! Woohoo!!

@FatFighterTV - Hey Sahar! I know!! That image is so filled with a depth of color that is so full and vivid!

Hello. I know I'm on the wrong comment page for this but the comments are closed for 'sweet sixteen' and I wanted to write something!

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing that post. It actually meant a lot to me to read how your love has endured over so many years. It's not often that I hear happy love stories - more often, we hear about break-ups, affairs and the like. It really warmed my heart to read your story and it inspired me to believe in love. So thank you.

@Nathalie - Weapons of Mass Creation (WMC's)!! So, let's let that shiny in us out...that crayola that is maybe buried deep in our soul! Shine, baby!! (love it!!!)

@Angelia - Oooh, the smell of crayons!! And very cool - you putting those crayons to use in your church classroom! I say that by you doing that, you are giving others permission to let their creative side out...and that's all sorts of awesome!

@Fatibony - It's a pretty sweet bomb to launch, isn't it!! Bringing smiles instead of pain - what a great "bomb"!!

It would definitely bring down my defense. I can not resist a new box of crayons. The smell, the colors, the new shades. It wasn't long ago I volunteered in the 4-5yr old room at Church. I hope the other teacher/volunteer didn't mind because I HAD to color a picture with the kids. What fun it was!

It certainly gave me an explosion that I needed. I still have that picture I colored and find it in my Bible. It always makes me smile. Thanks Lance!

Yes! I love it. Why always focus on weapons that destroy rather than create or add beauty? This is just so beautiful... and the photo too. ;)

I think of us is a little crayola bomb... we're each a little bit of shiny all wrapped into our human form. Let's make it shine, baby! :D

@J.D. Meier - Silly string! Awesome idea! We had a silly string game in our basement once - tons of fun (well...except for the cleanup!)!!

@Hilary - Hi Hilary. Rainbows of color sounds like a whole lot of awesome!

@Kristin - Yes, this picture certainly does brighten a dreary day! And the words by Robert Fulghum really touch upon the beauty that lies in letting our true colors shine!

@Mama Zen - Lovely, isn't it!!!

@Wendi - Hi Wendi. Looking at this photo, it's just hard to not feel a bit happier and lighter! And, I love what you have shared - this idea that a new box of crayons are line new opportunities! They really are! New opportunities for us to create! And the thing is, within our soul, a box of those crayons reside...just waiting to be opened!

@Tammy - Tammy, it is sooo good to see you here today. And crayons are beautiful...like YOU! And I want you to know, dear friend, how much you always bring out those colors in others. You hav a wonderful gift of seeing into people's hearts, and connecting to what really matters. Tammy, just know today that I hold you and your sweet colors of life close to my heart...

@Karl - And I say that there's an artist in each one of us...sometimes buried in our right brains (and in our hearts). So, you are so right...really developing that artist within each of us could go a long, long way toward world peace. And about that kids book (done in crayons!!)...definitely get that back out!!

@Erin - So, I looked back to see if I had used this quote before, and while I hadn't - I came across one other Fulghum quote I have used. And it was one that very much brought sadness. In such an honest way, it touched upon a deep part of our being, and something I think we all can relate to - the words people say to us, and how they CAN hurt. Anyway, this post today is much more upbeat and filled with brightness, and is so good for this world we live in today. Now, how to get that message out to everyone. (and for the record, I find both this quote and the one on what people say to be deeply good...just different).

You hav a wonderful gift of seeing into people’s hearts, and connecting to what really matters. Tammy, just know today that I hold you and your sweet colors of life close to my heart…

@Karl – And I say that there’s an artist in each one of us…sometimes buried in our right brains (and in our hearts). So, you are so right…really developing that artist within each of us could go a long, long way toward world peace. And about that kids book (done in crayons!!)…definitely get that back out!!

@Erin – So, I looked back to see if I had used this quote before, and while I hadn’t – I came across one other Fulghum quote I have used. And it was one that very much brought sadness. In such an honest way, it touched upon a deep part of our being, and something I think we all can relate to – the words people say to us, and how they CAN hurt. Anyway, this post today is much more upbeat and filled with brightness, and is so good for this world we live in today. Now, how to get that message out to everyone. (and for the record, I find both this quote and the one on what people say to be deeply good…just different).
