About

Hi there!  Welcome to the Jungle…The Jungle of Life…that is!

Who Am I? Well… let’s see

  • Husband to my lovely wife (for 14 years) – she’s the cute one in the picture!
  • Father of three school-aged children – they keep us on the go!
  • Information Technology manager for a small company – we’ve got bills…and hey, I like it…
  • I make my home in the midwest United States – bring on the snow, we’re ready!
  • In my spare time I enjoy working out, biking, hiking and a good game of basketball against my kids (the good game of basketball is getting tough – they’re getting too good!)

So what is “The Jungle of Life”? Good question… Life can seem like a jungle sometimes, overgrown with all the “things” that are in our life. The animals that consume us (debt, busy-ness, work, family, etc) lurking around every corner.  Here at “The Jungle of Life” I’m looking for you to walk through this jungle with me as I look at ways to tame this jungle we call our lives.  Join me on the journey as we discover more about who we are and what makes us each unique.

Am I an expert in any of this? I have no formal training in either personal finance or personal growth, two areas that will be covered here. What I do bring to the jungle is a lot of practical experience, years of trial and error, and a desire to share that with you.

How do I contact you?

  • Fill out my contact form here.
  • Leave a comment in any of the comment areas

Thanks for stopping by!  You’re always welcome in this jungle…

Lance

Lance,
We’ve got ya beat! We have 5 kids, all at home, and ‘jungle’ is an understatement. Especially, on those freaking sports Saturdays when 3 (or more) of the kids have games two cities apart!

@AJ – Thanks for stopping by AJ! Looking forward to connecting.

@Patricia – Spiritual Journey of a Lightworker — Welcome to this jungle Patricia, it’s great to have you here!

@Joe – Five kids, you DO have a jungle!! And I completely understand what those Saturday mornings can be like!! Come back here anytime.

This is an exceedingly humble “About” you post. I did not know that you had no formal training in the areas that you write about. You are exceptional in your insight, compassion and vivid vitality. I am impressed with your ability to speak from your heart. You have encouraged me more times than you could possibly know. I think some of the wisest people have had no formal training. They have learned and continue to learn through life experience, where learning becomes imprinted in the entire being: the body, soul, spirit and mind….not just the mind. It is what makes them stand out. It is what makes them connect on a gut level to people living their lives in the trenches. There is something “gutsy” about their truth and wisdom. They are not merely spouting something they read; they speak from their heart and soul and it is pure and shines like a forest after summer rain…when the sun comes out.
