How Valuable Are You?

How do you determine YOUR value? A sign I spotted on the way home tonight: “Your value is not determined by your valuables”. A very good lesson. It can become easy to compare ourselves to what our neighbors have in their front yard. But it is much more important what kind of person we are? Are you happy with who you are? Possessions won’t buy a lifetime of happiness. Instead, a reliance on possessions can become a false hope in building up our ego. It is much more important who YOU are, not what you have. Remember that the next time you find yourself comparing what you have with what others have.

I wonder about that too. When I was working as HR representatives, and handled work injuries cases, I felt so unfair for some workers who suffered permanent injuries, and the compensation just a few thousand dollars.
