@Cheryl – Hi Cheryl. Thank you so much for your caring and touching words. And, thinking about Jesus…what a great place to look for inspiration. He just really has this focus on what truly matters, and when we can somehow get a bit closer to that…what a beautiful place to be. And…woohoo!! Laughter is next!!

Hi Lance,
You connect at a soul level with so many people. Having a blog to share your thoughts with people is the perfect medium for you. Sometimes, when I’m writing, I wonder what would Jesus do? He would blog to get his message to the masses and He would fret and fume over the slowness of the computer. But He would focus on the message and not the mishaps and slowdowns. March is for laughter!

@Tim – Hey Tim. Yes, I know what you mean. Sometimes it can really take work. I think of exercise, which is something that is a passion of mine. And still, there are days, where it’s a real effort to go forth. When I do, I really feel good about it. The point, though, as you have stated, is that sometimes it really is work to get to that spot of passion. Great thoughts!

@Diane AZ – Hi Diane. Nature is such a beautiful thing! And through, as Einstein said so well, we can understand everything better. And Diane, that you are at peace…I see that as a beautiful sign of passion within you…and what a great place to be at.

@Zeenat – Zeenat, thank you so, so much for your wonderful words of affirmation. And that is truly a sign of the love that is within you, shining out into the world! I am so grateful for your presence, and for the beauty you bring to this world. Oh, and this is so good…passion is Life. I do get, very much, what you are saying. While there might be varying degrees of passion, this is indeed our life, and what that is, in large part, is how we deeply connect to it (our life). This person that you are right now..is so beautiful! Your passion for life coupled with your souls purity…just flows in this post. So so so beautiful! WOW!
I love how you have described passion for you….grey technicolor and all that in between….You cant be passionate all the time….you would be superhuman
For me personally passion is Life…and in everything we think or do…let it be just making a cup of coffee….or just drinking that cup of coffee..and enjoying every sip..OK….I cant be passionate about my morning cup of coffee , I’m too sleepy then But you get what i’m talking about right.
And what an honor to be part of your group therapy session….I wish all my patients were as awesome as you I have got to send them to you for therapy

Hi Lance, I enjoyed reading your thoughts about passion. I could relate to “That ebb and flow of nature…” which reminds me of Einstein’s quote “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” And,”There’s a time for sowing, there’s a time for growing…” which brings to mind the song, Turn! Turn! Turn! based on Ecclesiastes 3:1. I don’t often think about “passion” myself if it means wanting something other than “this” right now. I could say I’m passionate about “loving what is” and I get ecstatic about Nature. I notice that energy and drives come and go, but I don’t seek after them or try to change them. I am at peace going with the flow.

Thanks for sharing your very personal take on passion. I know what you mean about thinking about passion and actually applying it to our lives at all moments. It is not easy to just “be” passion or to live passionately so that it’s automatic. For me, it takes work. It probably shouldn’t, but it does. Thank you again for sharing and for reminding us of the importance of passion.

@Megan – Megan, I love this thought of passion as a verb. It’s like I feel the action that goes in this. And maybe that’s action we see (like outwardly doing something that brings passion) and maybe that’s action on the inside (like deeper thoughts into the inner working of “us”). So, these daily passion steps…yes, I too think “am I different than I was yesterday”. Yet, as I think back right now – to this year last time – without a doubt I have changed. There has been a shift, and one that I am deeply happy to see taking place. It’s in a direction that feels so right, and so good. Megan, your words are helping me to see this, and to realize that even in those moments when it feels like I’m spinning my wheels, or even reverting in a direction I don’t want to go – there is still good there. And I wonder if a big part of that for me, right now – is awareness.

Anyway, Megan, you have once again given me your beautiful insight, with care and love. The fires are burning…

@Dani – Hey Dani. Yes, I am seeing this too. And I think it’s because passion is something that can be very personal and meaningful. And that is something that touches everyone at a deep level.

@Laurie – Hi Laurie. That’s good Laurie…to really just “be” with these ebbs and flows. I suppose they are inevitable. Such is our life here on earth…one filled with highs and lows. And when we stay focused on what rings in our heart…we come back to that, flowing beauitfully. So…I’ll enjoy this place “at the cusp”….pondering, dreaming, planning. That all sounds really quite nice… (thank you, dear friend…)

@J.D. Meier – I like how you are tying passion and growth together. I see that very much, as we continue to let our passion out, that does take us down new paths of growth too. And that’s a good place to be.

@Hilda – Hilda, your words touch my soul…thank you. And thank you, really, for being here and shining your light out into the world!

And it really does make those technicolor moments stand out, because we are all human, and we have days that blah, or uneventful, or just simply grey. @Jenn – Hi Jenn. Yes, valuing ourselves…so good to be reminded of that. Each of us, no matter where we are on that journey through life, have so much good within us. And that is a beautiful insight…thank you so much!

@Jody – Hey Jody! You know, I can relate so much to what you are saying. I guess that’s the ebb and flow of life, and it’s all good. When we find that thing we are passionate about (like fitness!), that’s where we should be then. (and this all reminds me…it’s time for me use the set of weights!!)

@Karl – Karl, I can relate, very much, to what you are saying. It feels “safe” to be conservative. Yet, the older I get, the more I am realizing that “safe” maybe isn’t so safe after all. Maybe the safest place of all is within that passion that is ours…and then we are living in the way we are meant to live our lives. Being in those moments…a great reminder, too, on where this passion really is at. Keep hugging your son…and your wife…

@Angelia – Hi Angelia. Right!! We can go into something new, and there’s like an andrenalyn rush. And the fire burns brightly. What about when that fades, though? Is that a time to dig a little deeper in our being, and question why we are doing what we are? Perhaps so. And in that questioning, we touch upon even deeper truths within our own being. Angelia, your insights today are so good, and leave me with some questions to ask myself…

@Suzie – Hi Suzie. On that cusp. It is a good place to be, I think. That spot reminds me that I am moving forward, even if I haven’t reached that peak (whatever that “peak” happens to be). And really, as I think about this now, I wonder if that is just another stop along our journeys through life, and that makes this “cusp” a very good place to be… I’m not sure, and I’m going to sit with that for a while. Suzie, know that I appreciate very much all that you have shared.

@Cheryl – Hi Cheryl. Very great point! Because when we underestimate our passion…we only hold ourselves back from our true potential…
