Love this quote because it speaks to the choice we always have to see good. It speaks to the fragile subjectiveness of life and reminds me to keep a wide open mind. My explanation may not always be the explanation that is most valuable for me and others. Peace Lance.

Lance,
I love this quote. It tells me that it is up to me as to what I see.
The photo is absolutely beautiful
I see a cloudy day. I see a sunny day. I see a vast horizon that goes on forever. I see possibilities. I see dreams.
It really is how you see it. This is a great photograph for that. Happy Sunday Lance!

I second Jonathan’s comment — and I’ll add that I see infinite possibilities in this world. When I look at what’s silver & gold (the linings around those clouds that sometimes give the illusion they’ve blocked the sun), I’m forced to fall on my knees in praise. For this is truly a rich, love-filled life we all lead. We simply have to open up to that divine goodness, and thanks to people like you, Lance, each day I become more open.
Love you, dear friend!
So true. I look in the mirror and see me. Except it’s not the me that everyone else sees.
Dave´s Last Fabulous Post ..Nominate November’s Good Cause
This is so true! Working on this with my son on what we choose to see or focus on. There are so many things that are within on our control. Especially when it comes to our happiness and how we view our lives!
Natalia´s Last Fabulous Post ..5 Gone!
This echoes one of my favorite quotes: what you see depends mainly on what you look for. I look for peace, health, fun, love and like-minded people…that’s why I come here.

Jay Schryer´s Last Fabulous Post ..Easy Like Sunday Morning
Hi Lance
Oh what beautiful words to start the day with! It is so true, it is one thing to look, but quite another to actually SEE. To do that, it takes being PRESENT and being CONSCIOUS – being AWARE…

Thx Lance!
Jody – Fit at 52´s Last Fabulous Post ..GIveaway Reminder! Levity Project Power of Positivity
It reminds me to live in the moment, be present. Yesterday I drove through my neighborhood, and I was stunned about how beautiful the Fall leaves are on the trees that line the streets. I thought to myself, “How many times have I driven past this and have not seen it because my mind is on the next problem or task I have to deal with?” What else have I missed?
Great photo.
So simple, so true, and so powerful! I love it Lance 🙂
Hilda´s Last Fabulous Post ..Smile
This beauty of this photo, quote, and the man behind the scenes here (yes, YOU) all comes together to remind me that we are really all one. Nature, the world, the heavens, and her inhabitants are imbued with an amazing life force which links us all. We are all connected. We are all one.
That thought makes me smile.
I hope all is well in your world today, Mr. Lance. Thank you for all you do.

Lance, you captured the essence of one of my favorite quotes:
“We don’t see things as they are; we see things as we are.” – Anais Nin
Thanks for sending unusual beauty and food for the soul to all of us.
Holly
Hi Lance .. it’s a timely reminder to us to reconsider & think before we comment on life .. and realise there is more to life than the picture view in front of us .. love the quote .. and Holly’s quote above from Anais Nin .. too= “We don’t see things as they are; we see things as we are” … how uncomfortable can that be sometimes — and how we need to change our thinking and our views ..
I found another one the other day – that reminds me of Robin Easton .. by Thoreau in Walden … the introductory sentence says “Open Walden to any page and you will find a man saying in a plain and orderly way what is on his mind: ‘I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived’.”
Both wonderful quotes and thoughts – thanks so much .. you brighten up our lives .. with your giving, your gift of humour .. and general joie de vivre … have a great week .. Hilary

What a PERFECT photo to accompany this amazing picture! I used to love (and still do for that matter) laying on the green grass gazing up at the clouds. Depending on the formation, I would see so many different things. I could CHOOSE what I saw.
Wouldn’t you know that would be a little lesson for life? Thanks for the reminder Lance. I believe that next time I am having a narrow view I will remember this picture, the clouds, and the ability to choose what picture I want to imagine!
Love, Jen

Caroline´s Last Fabulous Post ..You matter
Hi Lance!
I couldn’t stop staring at this beautiful photo. The quote is a great reminder that we always get to ‘choose’ what we see. Love that! I’m also reminded of a quote by Wayne Dyer that I often use in my coaching: “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
Thank you and make it a great week, my friend!
