Oh My sweet friend.…this is such a divine quote! just full of simplistic divinity.
Indeed, it all starts withIN us…and the world is just a reflection of what we truly see ourselves as.
Just beautiful!
Lots of love to you and your beautiful family this amazing Sunday!

Suzie Cheel´s Last Fabulous Post ..A Way To Find Courage
One of my all-time favorite quotes, and something I need to work on almost daily. I can be so forgiving and compassionate to others, but I struggle with beating myself up. I am my own worst enemy sometimes…but this quote helps me pull back and treat myself lovingly. Thank you for the reminder!
Jay Schryer´s Last Fabulous Post ..Giving Up Can Be A Good Thing
Self-love and appreciation actually allows us more room to hold others in high regard. Love is a reflection of how we feel in the presence of others but first it’s a reflection of how we see ourselves.

Lance,
Thank you for sharing this! So very true..
I think often we can be so other focused we forget to include ourselves in our compassion and generosity. Because I want to share the absolute best, I need to be the absolute best..and I cannot give you what I do not have, so I make the time to care for and love on myself…then I have an abundant well of care and love to serve from..
Happy Sunday to you and your precious family!

Stacey Shipman´s Last Fabulous Post ..What Puts a Smile on Your Face
My dear friend,
I am grateful that you’ve shared this truth today. Isn’t it so easy to forget this truth as we wish to give of ourselves to others? But as Joy said in her comment, we cannot give like that if we don’t give to ourselves. Thank you for reminding me.
Lance, I am so truly happy that you exist! I lean on you and the things you share here. Seriously, thank you.
Love & Peace
Blessings and much love
I love all you share.

Dear Lance, this is so gentle, soothing and healing. Thank you dear sweet friend for always encouraging us to love. Like Keith said, I too lean on you and absorb your deep abiding goodness. You are part of me, part of us all, Lance. For that I am grateful. Love always, Robin

Lance…thank you. You are a wise man. (and goofy too which I like as well)
May all attempts at world peace begin first with loving kindness towards ourselves.

Lance, this reminds me of a quote by Jack Kornfield, “If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.” I’m not sure why, but the idea of loving myself seems daunting at times. Loving others — dear friends like you, or the man on the street — feels easier. I’ve been thinking about love so much these past few months. More than I ever have, and as a result, I’m learning more than I ever dreamed possible.
This quote feels so very good to me, and challenges me today to ask how I can love myself more pervasively.
Thank you, dear friend, and Happy Sunday to you!
One sentence, that holds so much importance and meaning!
One picture, that can be interpreted in so many ways. I love that the heart could be thought of as our shadow. A good shadow.
Thank you, Lance! So many of us struggle with us. Sometimes I need to ask that very important question to myself: “If you were talking to your BEST friend, how would you phrase it?”
Have a absolutely beautiful day:)

So true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This so fits with a post tomorrow sharing one of your posts again. I made a statement in my post separate from your great sharings & this goes right with it so I will add this on to the comment I made.
It sometimes is so much harder than this simple statement, isn’t it.… we are so hard on ourselves!

Lance, this sentiment is making its rounds today.
I just left a similar comment on a couple of blogs. Taking the time to give to ourselves what we imagine for others is so important. We’re so close to ourselves, it’s easy to forget that we need us as much as others do. I love Tom’s comment, too.

And yet for some reason, I think that applies to everyone but me.…. A work in progress laments
Love it. For some reason I will occasionally equate all eastern spirituality with a kind of give-only selflessness. This quote seems to flatly turn that on its head– BUT at the same time doesn’t do so in a way that “inferiorizes” others. Rather, it simply seems to ask that we be as loving to ourselves as to everyone else.
This quote makes me feel bubbly.
Thanks, Lance … really hard to do when you’re fighting so many battles because we {I} tend to put ourselves on the bottom of the list then. But only by loving ourselves can we become everything we want to be.

Hello Lance,
Great to see you! I’ve been away from blogs for a few weeks (my own as well as all my favorites, such as yours!). But I decided I was ready today to slowly ease back in…and yours was the first one I visited. I thought to myself, “Come on, this will be good for you to get back into the swing of things,” and I knew I’d come across the messages that were meant for me. This quote here by Buddha was, well, exactly what I needed today. Thank you. And many blessings to you and your family during this special time of year.
Love!

Hi Lance,
Love me, love you and love the quote. Isn’t life grand;)
That was the hardest life lesson for me. I’m glad I cared enough about myself to really let it sink in and learn it’s value.
Beautiful, as always, Lance!
Hope you and the fam had a great Thanksgiving! I may be visiting in February. Save me some snow. Haha.
Angelia Sims´s Last Fabulous Post ..Moments of Thanksgiving
Thank you. I forget this…probably all too often.
All,
Thanks so much for your thoughts on this. Beauty. It’s within us…within each of us. And yet, do we sometimes not always see that? And when we don’t see our own inherent beauty, do we lose sight of love…of love for ourselves?
Each one of us are divinely created, an amazing human being here on this earth. And when we can stop, stop and fully look within at who we are…we can touch more fully upon that love.
May we all see this love, self-love, more deeply in our being.
Peace,
Lance
Thank you for this. I definitely needed to hear it.
