Hi Lance,
Paulo Coehlo is one of my favorite authors! I read “The Alchemist” in one sitting then gave the book as presents to my friends. This quote speaks to me today because I have opened my boat to a very special couple, who chose to spend the holidays with my children and I…not only will we be surrounded by love, but also we all tend to find the treasure in the moment..so magic is indeed very much actively alive:) This is how my little family will start the new year..and I know that love and magic will magnify each moment we are open to it–very exciting!
My theme words for 2011 are simplicity and adventure..perhaps a ‘simple adventure’….:)
Happy Sunday!

Wow. That so sums up how I want to live and how I live. Leave it to Paul Coelho and you to remind me today. There is no other way except to enjoy this fabulous journey. I spoke to a large corporate group this week and it seemed like the prevailing energy was to be afraid of the experience of wonder. That somehow, by wondering and allowing ourselves to not know where the treasure is, we are lesser of a person. The whole journey is not about the moment of finding the treasure…it is, as he, says the adventure.
Thank you for starting my Sunday out right.

Hugs
Katie

Katie,
This journey we’re on…it’s one that is truly ours…and it IS fabulous!!

…the treasure really is the journey…

Julie December 12, 2010 at 6:55 am

And the treasure is within, in that we can create—in the power we have TO create—whatever it is we want. :) Knowing this and seeing it in action, enjoying the fruits, being delighted by this magic—this is the real treasure.

Jean,
That’s what makes this interesting right – being ALL over the world!! Hey, I know…so we can hear each other live…I should come for a visit (I’m LIKING this idea!!!).

Hahaha… that’s the thing with the internet it makes the world so accessible… except for those pesky time zones that seem to be opposite here in Australia from everywhere else on the planet… [and we're upside down as well]… which only adds to the problem [grin] But Oprah is setting the world right for us here this week with her visit but who knows what will happen next week when she goes? Either way it’s great that she’s here leading the way for others to follow. It’s a great country and I’d love everyone to see it and look forward to welcoming you Lance… and whoever else wants to venture this way for a visit!

And you know what, Jean…I DO want to visit Australia, to see this amazing place you call home.

It’s even better, though, because YOU are there…so that day, it may just happen (…I would likely be half asleep, though!!)

When we stop trying to make life into something and start seeing the amazing treasure that is all around us, we know that we are in our perfect place. I think it’s about opening to our imaginations and embracing the infinite beauty in each moment.

Marc introduced me to Paulo Coelho. We are both determined that we will walk the Santiago pilgrimage. To hike the entire way takes about 1 month, but we will do. Interestingly, it is something that spiritually draws both of us.

Love this, Lance.

I think that the funny thing about finding treasures is sometimes they are disguised as junk….then you tear away all the layers of dirt and WALLAH! There is the treasure. So much like life, we have to uncover the treasure…..it’s more than just finding it!

Here’s to finding adventure during the hunt:)

Wish I was standing on that beach, Lance!!

Fear never rests. We can push it back, hold it off, stamp it down, but it has a patience and persistence that will find the cracks and explore them.

Best of luck to all of us in what I feel is the greatest battle of our lives.
