As an educator, I’m always mindful of this fact. People can be cruel sometimes but they are also times when they can make you soar like an eagle. I’d like to think i’m the latter when it comes to dealing with my students and my own children.
@Davina — Feelings do go deep. And it’s important for us to remember that. It’s important for me to remember that. Daily.
@Bamboo Forest — That’s a great point — mastering our tongue. It’s our mouth that can easily get us in trouble, or cause hurt feelings. It’s a great point, and one that takes much effort on our part to think about the other person first. To remember they are just like us, with feelings, and desires. And that we can hurt them easily with our words if we are not careful.

@Vered — That’s true, we do take from the relationship how they make us feel. And sometimes, I think these are the people we sometimes can hurt the most with our words. It’s a great reminder that our loved ones relationships are fragile, just like each of us. We are all easily bruised by hurt feelings.
