There is something special about summer afternoons. In Panama we have two seasons (dry and rainy, it’s always hot) but I lived in the US for about nine years and I remember a lot of beautiful summer afternoons.

Add the word weekend to the quote, and it becomes perfect! Sunday found the Urbane Lion and I sitting outside sipping white wine, viewing our newly constructed gardens, smelling the salmon smoking on a cedar plank, and listening to the Harleys roaring down the street. OH! Skip that last part; we have learned to tune them out. A perfect Summer afternoon.
Lance, you sure sound like you had a great time. I, on the other hand, was nursing myself from flu while my kids went out for the day.
Well, hope next weekend will be a better one for me! Your post made me remember that it is important to always set aside time for outdoor fun and play!
