So often we allow our imaginations and sheer joy for life to become bogged down in the mundance day-to-day "stuff". Setting aside time to get in touch with our childish side seems to be the perfect antidote to that. Great post Lance! We lose so much when we get all serious and stuff.. For some of us who this naturally comes for, I think these 'resignations' are truly effective for balancing us out more delicately and encouraging more 'playing as a team!'.. what a great reminder of this here today, again! I guess I read this passage, though, and see it through the eyes of what we hope life is like for an eight year old - one that is filled with play, with carefree days, with no worries, being in the moment. Reading your words, I kind of think that you are probably there - that these qualities are something that you have embraced.
