Take Action!

What is it that we need to do to move ourselves forward? We need to take action, do something, put ourselves "out there". We’re not going to get to where we want to go unless we do something. Someone else isn’t always going to do everything for us.

So, be ready to "take action". You never know when a moment will present itself. Be ready. Some of your greatest moments will come from those times when you step out and just do it. Will taking action always lead to what you want? No. But that’s not a reason to not take action and do something. Lead YOUR life in the direction you want to go and you will get there! Bumps along the way are just that – bumps. They are not roadblocks.

So get out there, take action, and live the life you want!

I totally agree, at least partially. LOL. I absolutely think that we should take the risk of opportunites that present themselves to us if they interest us. But for me, someone who is trying desperately to slow down and simplify my life, I also find that I need to find a balance and not necessarily always take action. The sometimes it is ok to let something pass. I know I probably sound lazy and whatnot, but I hope you know what I am trying to say. Thanks for the thought provokiong post.

You bring up a good point Michelle, and it doesn’t make you sound lazy. In fact, I’d agree that it’s good to slow down too. I would say that’s the action you’re taking, the action of slowing down and simplifying. The important thing is that you are consciously making the decision, and you are, so that’s great! I really like what you’ve said, it made me think about the original post, and how it relates.
