What Are You On?

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.  Live the life you have imagined.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

For inspiration, watch this short video by Nike about Lance Armstrong.  It’s a great example of what commitment is all about.

“I’m on my bike busting my as* six hours a day”. Lance Armstrong is amazing. He’s a great example of mind over body and how we can accomplish anything if we want it hard enough and if we’re willing to do the work.

Hi Lance,

I love Nike’s slogan “Just Do It”. It’s short and to the point.

Thanks for sharing that video. I have recently finished reading a book about Lance Armstrong called “It’s not about the Bike” and his dedication, perseverance and commitment is absolutely phenomenal.

yeah – I get fed up with people thinking that when you are successful at something, it sort of just happened – they don’t see the years that went into it (or choose not to).

Cheers Lance – Robin

@Marelisa – He really is a great example of going after what you want, and working hard to achieve it!

@Evelyn – Lance (Armstrong) really shows his dedication, and this is a great clip about it.

@Linda – I love that quote too. It really gives me hope that I can accomplish whatever I want, if I want it bad enough.

@Barbara – Their slogan is perfect for their brand, and it is just a great life slogan as well.

@Leanne – I’ve read that book as well, and it’s amazing what he has overcome to get to where he is today.

@Robin – that is so true, and I’m realizing it more the older I get. Most people are where they are at because of the effort (or lack of) they put into their life. You get out what you put in.

@Bamboo Forest – Thanks!

Food for thought indeed. I think most of us cannot commit for 24 hours on any activity on a given day. We can learn from him, and commit fully to the activity on hand
